Stabilisation of broken, fractured, apalled and eroded stonework (in situ or remotely)
Complex lime mortar repairs to stone (also this can include historic brickwork)
e.g.~ Ashlar, window and door casements, finials, tracery, Shields and ornamentation ,flagstone flooring.
Beyond Repair ?
Preparation and fixing of replacement architectural stone components or minimal parts thereof, as appropriate
Similar to New Masonry but though minimised indents into or onto existing stonework, maximising the viable historic stonework
Sensitive Stone Cleaning
Whole or part facades, sculpture and ornamentation to conservation standards
De-vegitation of the Structure
We use and recommend super heated stream, the most gentle of the industrial approaches
Also, Ultra light cleaning using natural poulticing and eco-chemical poulticing
Decarbonation, Graffiti removal, Bird and Bat guano removal. removal of pollutants and salts
Repointing
Removal of inappropriate 'Cementious' mortars (that threaten the survival of the stone itself) and 'end of life cycle' Lime mortars with appropriate lime pointing mortars.
Repointing Style should be as appropriate as the mortar itself.
